Our lab is open year round and includes services in all fields of Assisted Reproductive Technology.The lab is accredited by CAP making it a part of an exclusive group of laboratories in the country. This is an outstanding facility for ambulatory surgical care. At this location we ensure that all patients receive the highest care and quality in a comfortable setting. Our surgery center staff comprises of board certified anesthesiologists, trained nurses and qualified ACLS.

The SDFC Research Department began operating in 1995 and has been active in carrying out clinical trials. We work with different pharmaceutical companies with a focus on IVF and IUI techniques. If interested, some of our qualified patients may be able to participate.

Meet the Team

SDFC is proud to have an exceptional team of fertility doctors and staff who collaborate to deliver the best fertility care for every patient.SDFC was founded by Dr. William P. Hummel who is a board certified fertility doctor. Under his leadership, SDFC pioneered the technology of blastocyst embryo transfer. This technology raises the success of reproductive treatment while lowering the chance of multiple births.Dr. Hummel is joined by Dr. L. Michael Kettel at SDFC who is board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Obstetrics & Gynecology. Other medical team members are Dr. Susanna J. Park, Dr. Sandy S. Chaun, Dr. Brooke Friedman, Dr. Said Daneshmand and Dr. Jeffrey S. Rakoff.Together this group of qualified individuals takes a team approach in working towards building a family for couples in need. Both Dr. Hummel and Dr. Kettel have been voted best doctors in America as well as best doctors in San Diego.
