Services and Procedures

TFC offers a number of basic and advanced fertility treatments for patients. Since every case is different, not all patients will need invasive procedures to address their infertility issues. Instead, many if not most will benefit from simpler treatment options.Basic Fertility TreatmentsWomen experiencing irregular ovulation may only need basic intervention to become pregnant. Plus, most women respond well to fertility medication to induce ovulation. To improve odds of a successful pregnancy, the specialists at TFC may pair ovulation medications with IUI. Some of the more basic options available at TFC include:Fertility Medications and Hormone TherapyMedication may be administered as oral or injectable. The aim is to provide hormonal therapy that will stimulate follicle development and promote ovulation. Together these actions can increase the chances of successful conception.Ovulation InductionBasic fertility treatment begins with ovulation induction, or releasing an egg. Women who do not have regular menstrual cycles or those who skip menstruation can benefit from this treatment.IUIIUI is a minimally invasive fertility treatment procedure. It involves placing sperm directly into the uterus bypassing the vagina and cervix. It is often recommended for less complex cases of infertility treatment.Basic Fertility SurgerySurgery to correct uterine abnormalities is known as laparoscopy or hysteroscopy. These procedures are minimally invasive in nature and can treat issues like endometriosis, adhesions, ovarian cysts and fibroids among others.Advanced Fertility TreatmentOnly a fraction of patients need advanced fertility treatments. The IVF Lab at the centre can take fertility care to the next level. Advanced fertility treatment option offered by TFC include:IVFDuring IVF, sperm and eggs are collected from the couple and placed in a lab dish. Fertilization takes place in the dish and fertilized eggs are placed into the woman's uterus. There are many different kinds of IVF procedures, most of which are more successful for women under 40.GIFTThis is an ART procedure used on women with cervical issues or mild endometriosis. It may also be used where males have infertility issues. The procedure involves placing eggs and sperm into the fallopian tube for fertilization to occur. Once fertilized, the embryo remains in the tube and then moves up into the uterus.ZIFTThis is another ART procedure where fertilized eggs are transferred into the fallopian tube to start a pregnancy.ICSIICSI involves injecting a sperm directly into an egg for fertilization. This procedure is often used where sperm is of poor quality or has issues with motility.Donor Egg and SpermTFC offers leading edge donor services through its IVF lab.
