Services and Procedures

Once patients have been consulted and tested, the physicians at CNY Fertility Centers will identify potential factors affecting a couple's infertility. Based on the results, treatment options are recommended on specific needs.

It is important to remember that not all patients require advanced infertility treatments as their first course of action. Instead, they can start from simpler treatments and track their progress from there. Some of the basic and advanced treatment options available at CNY Fertility Centers include the following:

Fertility Medications and Injections

There are a number of fertility medication options that are available at CNY Fertility Centers. A combination of medications may allow patients to ovulate empirically or injectable medications may be used for IVF and IUI cycles. Basically, treatment of this kind is administered to improve the hormonal environment of the patient.

The specialists at CNY fertility Centers supervise the mixing of medication and injections, which can be otherwise overwhelming for patients. Step-by-step information on administering medications correctly is available through video instruction.

IUI or Intrauterine Insemination

This is a treatment option where prepared sperm is placed within the uterus around the time of ovulation. This treatment is most often recommended for patients with a compromised sperm count, abnormal sperm or marginal motility.

IVF

This is perhaps the most practiced infertility treatment avaialble. It is performed as an outpatient procedure where the patient is given medication to stimulate ovaries. Then her eggs are aspirated, collected in a dish and inseminated. Insemination may be conventional where sperm and eggs are placed in a dash and allowed to fertilize on their own. Or insemination may be administered via ICSI where an individual sperm is injected directly into the egg.

Surgery

Surgical procedures are sometimes administered to view or correct uterine abnormalities. The same can be done to explore other organs in the pelvic area. Types of surgery done at CNY Fertility Centers include

  • Laparoscopy
  • Hysteroscopy
  • Ovarian drilling
  • Myomectomy

Donor Program

This program is recommended for patients who exhibit a lack of eggs or sperm, or those whose eggs or sperm do not develop into viable embryos. Such individuals or couples can look for donor eggs or sperm to carry a successful pregnancy.

Other candidates for this option can include women who no longer produce eggs. Male patients who have severe sperm abnormalities can also benefit.

Another alternative in the donor program allows couples left with extra fertilized eggs to either freeze them or give them up for donation.

Lab Services

The lab services at CNY Fertility locations excel in performance and result delivery. Centers provide embryology, andrology and endocrinology lab services on location. This facilitates result retrieval and diagnosis for patients.

LGBT Options

With the help of its donor program, CNY Fertility Centers are able to accommodate services for the LGBT community. Options are available for each family situation, whether it is a gay couple, a lesbian couple or transgender individuals.

Donor coordinators at CNY Fertility Centers work with individuals or couples to find a treatment option that best fits their needs.

Natural Fertility Program

Individuals or couples who wish to start a family but want to have their fertility assessed can consider CNY Fertility’s Natural Fertility Program. The program includes testing options such as bloodwork, ultrasound, semen analysis and HSG.

Based on results, CNY Fertility specialists can devise a natural fertility plan for patients.

Financial Options

Besides participating with and accepting most insurance plans, CNY Fertility Center offers different financing options.
