I just had two day five blastocysts transferred that had been comprehensively genetically screened and found to have been normal. Both my husband and I would have preferred to have transferred only one embryo, but the cost of each frozen embryo transfer is in excess of 5k before medications. I fully agree that we should move towards a model whereby most transfers are single embryos. And I also encourage re practitioners to factor this in to their pricing so there is no tax on patients who choose to implant one embryo at a time.

Great Blog. I truly see the trend going towards Single Embryo Transfer in most cases. That is a great idea provided the embryo be placed at the Maximal Implantation Potential (MIP) Point. That can be done only with the use of "3D/4D Ultrasound Guided Embryo Transfer". Providing this service will maximize the chances of pregnancy with virtualy eliminating multiples.
